Three ladies among five killed in explosive company blast
DHAMNA/NAGPUR: Three women were among five killed in the explosive company blast at Dhamna, around 25 km away from Nagpur, on Thursday while six more were seriously injured. Authorities stated the toll is likely to increase.
As per the initial information, the labourers were engaged in the sealing unit when a spark triggered the blast.
The explosive factory, which manufactures safety fuses, gun powder, fire crackers, detonators, was rattled by the blast.

The factory management had tried to rush to intervene but the powerful blast had triggered a fire inside the premises.
Fire brigade and police were alerted. Around six persons were rushed to the Dande Hospital near Ravi Nagar while another four were shifted to another private hospital in the vicinity.
Dr Pinak Dande said five were dead before they had reached his hospital while one (Dasna Maraskolhe) is still fighting for life with severe burn injuries. "Maraskolhe is critical too," he said.
CP Ravinder Singal along with Jt CP Aswati Dorje too had reached the private hospital where the injured were admitted.
Former Home minister Anil Deshmukh too said he had reached the spot and arranged for the medical assistance and fire brigade teams to reach from the closest centres.
